Body Shaping & Cellulite Reduction Costs

Most nonsurgical body shaping and cellulite reduction procedures range from $200 to $800 per treatment, although a few can cost up to $2000. The number of treatments varies greatly depending on the method and desired results.

Am I a candidate for body shaping & cellulite reduction?

Patients who choose these procedures do so because they have lost a lot of weight, have some loose skin or isolated fat pockets, or simply want to enhance their shape or silhouette for cosmetic reasons. These procedures can improve the appearance of almost any area of the body, including:

  • Abdomen
  • Thighs
  • Hips
  • Buttocks
  • Arms
  • Knees and legs
  • Face, neck, and chin

Often, body shaping and cellulite reduction procedures are selected as a non-invasive alternative to liposuction and similar cosmetic surgery procedures. Nearly all adults in good overall health can undergo this procedures.

What are body shaping & cellulite reduction procedures?

There are several different non-surgical body shaping and cellulite reduction procedures using a variety of techniques to reshape the body. Many of the same treatments can be used for both body contouring and cellulite reduction, while others target one or the other. These are today's most popular nonsurgical body shaping and cellulite treatments:

Mesotherapy is an injectable fat removal solution that breaks down fat cells so that they can be absorbed by the body. LipoDissolve is a concentrated form of mesotherapy that also works by dissolving fat cells into a liquid form so that they can be flushed from the body. Both Mesotherapy and LipoDissolve require a series of tiny injections directly into the targeted areas of the body. These work well both for cellulite reduction and for body reshaping purposes. Typically, LipoDissolve requires fewer treatment sessions than mesotherapy. 4-10 treatments are usually recommended for optimum results with either of these procedures.

The VelaShape and VelaSmooth techniques combine a specific radio frequency with optical light energy and physical manipulation of deep tissues to tighten the targeted area of skin while reducing cellulite. Used for both body shaping and cellulite removal, VelaShape is targeted towards those looking to reduce the circumference of the thighs and other body areas, while VelaSmooth is a recommended treatment for cellulite reduction.

Endermologie is a cellulite removal technique employing dual action rollers to massage and smooth affected tissues. Often described as an intense deep tissue massage, the Endermologie approach is known for smoothing the dimpled skin caused by cellulite in a safe and non-invasive treatment.

Thermage Body uses laser energy to heat the collagen in the skin, tightening and sculpting targeted tissues. A similar treatment is Titan Skin Tightening, which uses infrared light energy to induce the body to produce collagen, which is a key element in the structure of the skin. Both can be used on the body as well as the face, and are seen as a non-surgical alternative to facelifts.

ReFirme Body Tightening uses radio frequency and optical energy waves (known as elos technology) to achieve a toned and more youthful appearance. Often used to treat sagging or wrinkled facial skin, this procedure has been likened to a virtually painless facelift.

Zerona is a laser treatment that targets the fat cells. Often compared to liposuction, Zerona procedures use laser energy to emulsify the fat, providing effective body contouring results.

Body shaping & cellulite reduction steps

Each of these procedures utilizes a specific method to reshape the body or reduce the appearance of cellulite. While each works in its own way, most of these procedures can be performed in under an hour. Most of these procedures are performed using local anesthetic; in some cases, topical anesthetics or 'twilight' anesthesia may be used instead. No bandages are needed over the treated area, and patients are free to leave the office as soon as the procedure is complete.

Body Shaping & Cellulite Reduction Recovery and Healing Steps

Nonsurgical body shaping and cellulite procedures are associated with little to no downtime. In fact, most patients are able to resume their normal daily activities immediately. You can expect to feel sore after the treatment, similar to the feeling after a strenuous workout, but over-the-counter pain relievers should help with any discomfort.

Body Shaping & Cellulite Reduction Side Effects and Procedure Risks

Temporary side effects include tenderness, bruising, swelling, or redness in the treated area. These procedures are very safe, and do not come with the same risk of side effects and complications as their surgical counterparts.
